The following are some of the successful results we have achieved on behalf of our clients:

  • Prevailed in the California Supreme Court on behalf of an international private investment company whose shares in a public company were wrongfully escheated to the State of California (Azure Limited v. I-Flow Corp., 46 Cal. 4th 1323 (2009)); 
     
  • Successfully defended a large New York law firm in a transactional malpractice action involving a complex financing dispute;
     
  • Obtained full payment for a Fortune 500 client from an equipment purchaser after a third-party finance company defaulted on its payment obligations;
     
  • Vacated a $21 million jury verdict against a global manufacturing client in an intellectual property dispute and then successfully retried the case;
     
  • Prevailed in an appeal to the Ninth Circuit against an insurance carrier that wrongfully denied coverage to a volunteer and not-for-profit organization that had provided medical services in a corporate golf tournament (American Red Cross v. St. Paul Travelers, 293 F. Appx. 512 (9th Cir. 2008));
     
  • Successfully defended a private investment company against a suit by attorneys seeking to recover fees for services allegedly rendered to a bankrupt entity; and
     
  • Successfully defended a former employee of an international auction house accused of stealing trade secrets, customer lists and other confidential communications.
