As a member of both the California and New York State Bars, Cindy Forman has litigated a wide variety of business disputes since 1985. She has defended large and small companies in both federal and state court in lawsuits involving product liability, intellectual property, antitrust, legal malpractice, securities law and insurance coverage issues. At Shapiro, Rodarte & Freedman LLP, Cindy has also developed invaluable expertise in creating and directing claims handling facilities in connection with mass tort litigation and reporting on mass tort losses to insurance carriers.

Cindy began her legal career in New York City at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Barlett. After moving to California in 1988, she joined Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker. She taught product liability law at Pepperdine University Law School for two semesters and has been with SR&F since its inception in 1996.

Outside of the office, Cindy has been active in Santa Monica educational issues, working toward the passage of several funding ballots as well as holding executive positions in the local PTA. She also is an avid runner and hikes regularly in the Santa Monica Mountains.
