Thomas Foote, a Southern California native, has litigated a wide variety of disputes in both the federal and state courts. Recent cases have focused on three different product liability insurance coverage issues, breach of contract and payment disputes, legal malpractice, and intellectual property matters, including patent and "theft of idea" cases. Well-versed in state and federal civil procedure, Tom believes in the value of tactical yet thorough case preparation and research in order to build the best possible foundation for trial or settlement of a dispute.

After graduating from law school at the University of Southern California in 1990 (where he served on the Southern California Law Review), Tom started his legal practice at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker before joining Shapiro, Rodarte & Freedman in 1997.

Tom is fluent in German. Outside of the office, he is an avid cyclist and skier as well as a member of the L.A. Triathlon club. He has also traveled and hiked throughout the world.
