Jeff Kiburtz represents policyholders in a wide variety of insurance coverage-related disputes. He has helped numerous public and private companies obtain coverage for securities, torts, intellectual property, construction and employment-related losses. In doing so, Jeff has gained significant experience with almost all types of commercial liability and property insurance, ranging from CGL policies to financial lines coverage such as D&O and fidelity. Jeff's practice at SR&F now includes representing policyholders sued for mass torts and product liability claims, and he is currently involved in several complex insurance disputes involving Bermuda-form policies and international insurance claims.
Before entering private practice, Jeff worked for several years on the 50-state liquidation of Amwest Surety Insurance Company, developing expertise in insurance insolvency and surety law. A student of the markets and active investor, Jeff has a strong understanding of finance, accounting and securities markets. He writes regularly about insurance and business issues.
Away from the office, Jeff and his wife, Luciana, spend as much time as possible with family and friends in Buenos Aires and Salt Lake City. A winter sports enthusiast, he has skied mountains from the Chugach in Alaska to the Andes in Argentina, but enjoys most a powder day in the Utah backcountry.
